The Council is responsible for many advances in the inclusion of the religious and independent school voice in the Statehouse and the Department of Public Instruction.
Ensuring equity in the professional development standards, expectations and credentialing of PI 34 is a clear example of the Council's effectiveness.
Monitoring the status of our religious and independent students' rights in the provisions of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and the Individuals with Disabilities Educational Act (IDEA) is a major focus of the Council.
