For over 25 years, WCRIS has been the recognized representative voice of the religious and independent school community.
Religious and independent schools serve over 10% of the state's student population. We are not mere "nonpublic schools"; we are partners in the education of the public. The educational landscape in our strong state would be diminished without the heritage and mission of religious and independent schools. Without a unified voice centered in WCRIS, the impact of our unique mission-driven schools would be diluted. | |
Accessible and accountable, we are a wonderfully diverse community that shares passionate common ground. We speak from the primary platform that our schools play a significant role in the education of the public. Our school families pay taxes to support Wisconsin public instruction. In doing so, our school families save our state treasury millions of dollars by seeking an alternative path, freeing resources for the public schools.
